Spurlock's 'Comic-Con' docu opens April 6
Wrekin Hill Entertainment and also the National Entertainment Memorabilia Assn. will open Morgan Spurlock's documentary "Comic-Disadvantage Episode IV -- A Fan's Hope" on April 6 having a theatrical/VOD day-and-date release. Wrekin Hill and NECA will even start a multi-city tour from the film on April 5, starting in Atlanta and then Orlando, Miami, Rochester, N.Y., Albany, N.Y., Philadelphia, Wallingford, Conn., Cincinnati, Chicago and Detroit. The tour stops are now being planned as fan events made to recreate the Comic-Disadvantage experience. Together with a screening, each stop includes exhibitor cubicles, animator portfolio reviews, costumes and sections. The film was created by Spurlock, Jeremy Chilnick, Matthew Galkin, and Thomas Tull. It compiled by Spurlock and Chilnick and it is being presented by Stan Lee, Joss Whedon and Harry Knowles. "Joining up with NECA and including an active tour element towards the film's release can give audiences a multi-dimensional consider the Comic Disadvantage experience," stated Wrekin Hill topper Chris Ball. Wrekin Hill and NECA acquired "A Fan's Hope" in December included in a proper partnership for that companies to distribute four or five game titles theatrically every year.
